Location: Excellently located a stone’s throw from Beppu Station and in close proximity to many of the bus stops with buses headed to Kannawa/Yufuin/Beppu Ropeway. The hotel is even across the street from where the Kyushu Odan Bus to Kurokawa/Aso/Kumamoto will pick you up. There were many eateries nearby, many of which closed around midnight for those venturing out a little later and still looking for something to eat. Room: Spacious for the price, with comfortable beds and clean facilities. Bathroom is small as expected, but not overly so. The hotel comes attached with an Onsen so bathing can be done there if the size of the bathroom bothers you. Toiletries are provided in the lobby for whenever you need them. (This includes special treats like face masks and hair treatments!) Rooms are equipped with blackout blinds and alarm clocks, as well as a tv that has Netflix and Hulu (if you can navigate be tv controls in Japanese!). Outfits for the Onsen are provided, as are multiple pairs of slippers (one for room use and another for going down to the onsen). The pillow system is interesting as you get to pick your preferred type of pillow. Breakfast: So good. I fought the urge not to overeat every day. Fairly standard Japanese fare, mackerel, toriten, eggs, sausages, free flow miso soup, and natto. There was also Japanese curry and rice. There was also a nice salad and some croissants, pastries, cereals. Drinks were also free flow and you can put yours in a to-go cup if you’re pressed for time. Staff: Very friendly and helpful! They were always really patient and went the extra mile to help us during our stay. Many of the concierge staff were also versed in English, which made communication smooth.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in Japan in terms of value, location and services. This is my 8th time visiting Japan. I always move hotels when I travel in Japan since there is so much to see. This hotel really impressed me with the hospitality, excellent services and the comfortability. It’s in front of Beppu station with a bus stop downstairs which is the stop before the train station. You can easily walk for 2 minutes to the station too. The complimentary buffet breakfast was with high quality which I would say it was way better than some free continental breakfasts offered in the hotels in North America. The breakfast provided different options for western & Japanese styles. There are also coffee and drink machines. There were staff constantly cleaning the tables as well. The hotel also has a hot spring on the 3rd floor and complimentary bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I was so impressed! This hotel needs to be recognized for its dedication! 10 out of 10 for sure~

The location was perfect for us, because it was near the train station. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a “Welcome Hour” each evening with a variety of beverages to enjoy. My husband and I thought that was a nice extra. The breakfast buffet in the morning was a good variety of tasty foods. There was a public onsen that many of those staying at the hotel were taking advantage of. We did not use this facility, so cannot comment on it. The only downside for us was the layout and comfort of our room. There were no comfortable chairs in the room, only a slightly padded bench in one corner. Also, the two beds were pushed together against the wall with the window. So to look out and see the beautiful view you had to crawl across the bed and sit on your knees on the bed. The square footage of the room was good and so we couldn’t understand the layout. Also the bathroom had all the amenities, but was very small.

The hotel is just a short walk from Beppu station and is conveniently visible so you won't have to worry about getting lost. There is a combini right opposite the hotel so it is not a problem if you need to get a snack. The hotel breakfast was basic and you need to remember to clean your tray after yourself. Check in was smooth and I was glad that I could choose a pillow that I liked for sleeping. The thoughtful amenities was great too - I enjoyed the mask and the serum while I was there. I liked the layout of the room - I had a view of Beppu tower from my window and the table was comfortable enough for me to have snacks, read and do my makeup. The onsen was comfortable and I liked that there was a screen for us to check if the onsen was full and the availability of the laundry and dryer machines. Easy walking access to the shopping centre and anywhere else in the city.

Location of the hotel is just a 3min walk from Beppu Station. Room was clean and staff was well versed in English. Explanation was clear and simple. The hotel does not use key cards for the rooms. Instead they give a unique 6-digit passcode (on a filmsy paper) for every room. i find it cumbersome to keep the filmsy paper with me. so i took a photo of it in my phone. Having to refer to the phone to open my room door every single time is super time consuming. Breakfast situation was hectic. the eating area is small messy when crowded. other than that, the stay was good.
